Laki - The Vaulting Mascot |

 Last weekend (30th May - 1st June), the first large-scale public event promoting the upcoming World Vaulting Championship happened in Brno as part of the "Brno - a City in the Heart of Europe" festival. The event was entitled "Horses in the City Centre". In this unconventional environment, spectators saw the best Czech vaulters and horses, as well as representatives of other horseriding disciplines, demonstrations of horseshoe fitting and much more. What's more, the highlight of the programme on Saturday was the official introduction of the mascot of the upcoming World Vaulting Championship to the general public - a horse called Laki.

 Slovak fashion designer Marcel Holubec W., holder of the prestigious award TOP STYLE DESIGNER 2007, will be presenting his award-winning collection entitled „Pepinier“ as part of the accompanying programme during the World Vaulting Championship and European Junior Vaulting Championship. This unconventional fashion show will happen on Saturday, 2nd August 2008 from 7pm onwards in the V pavilion of the Brno Fairgrounds. The patron of the show is Ms Liběna Rochová.
